baba and teeth
Hi guys
Sorry its been such a long time, i've been so busy with Scrapaholics. Have you looked at that blog yet? http://www.scrapaholicsblog.blogspot.com/
I've posted a mini album from Christmas - have a look
On Thursday night Morgan said "Baba" a few times. Now she loves it! She lies there with her toys and says baba, baba, baaaaba!! its too cute
We've been up a few nights this week with those horrid teeth. Shame on Wednesday night she was in real pain, and i had to cuddle her back to sleep (at 4.30am her screams are real loud). Poor thing. The culprits, 2 bottom front teeth, the one has broken through the skin, the other is still slightly swollen. So hopefully within a few days she will be sporting 2 front teeth.
On the crawling front she is much happier to be on her tummy now than she used to be. She is quite moblie, moving from side to side and tummy crawling around. She seems to be assuming the crawling position more easily now and I'm sure she will be off in a few days time! Oh heavens, then the fun starts......

Christmas come and gone
So after all the hype, preparation, planning and wrapping, the big day has come and gone. Hopefully not without you taking a minute inbetween presents and christmas pudding to remember the true meaning of this special time. The day that the Lord reconciled his children to Him. Christmas day, the birth of our Lord Jesus, was the start of the journey to eternal salvation.
Morgan's first Christmas. And it didn't exactly go as planned. Due to Aunty Janice being here from London the preleading days were spent out and about. Trips to the mall, to the beach, many restaurants for lunch, breakfast and coffee - all put the little one out of her very rigid routine. Couple that with teeth problems and the result - a complete disaster! Considering the princess Morgan usually has 3 to 4 sleeps a day, she was to say the least, shattered! She grew more and more miserable due to lack of sleep.
But she did manage to give us a few smiles and shouts! She was so incredibaly spoilt from everyone. Teething beads from santa, dolly from granny, clothes and costumes from everyone, cellphone from Aunty Jacqui and an Aussie teddy from Aunty Jani. She has loved her new toys, and kept us all amused on boxing day watching her playing with them.
Morgan's first christmas will definatly be remembered for the great food, as always we do too much, fantastic company and a good cardgame after lunch. The weather was stunning and its the first Christmas in years that it hasn't rained in Port Elizabeth!
Have lots of photos to scrap of her first Christmas, and meeting aunty Jani. What a blessing to have all our family here together xxx

6 month mark
Morgan reached the 6-month mark last week. She is growing up so fast, every day is something new that she discovers or does. Her favourite things right now are definatly food (although she isn't too keen on supper which is usually a veggie she doens't like), but fruit for lunch and porridge for breakfast is what she really enjoys.
She is sitting by herself now, but we can't be too far away as she still flops over! But the last day or two her balance seems to have gotten so much better. Still not much hair on her head, and the colour seems to be brown, but we'll see!
She is really bothered by her teething, she has 3 top front teeth that seem to be the culprits. The front middle one has cut through the gum, but isn't wanting to come right out yet. Maybe she will have 2 front teeth for Christmas!
We are gearing up for the christening next week. Will miss you lot overseas. Thank you for the cards and gifts. Will post pictures of her in her gown afterwards.

growing up
Morgan is now officially a big girl! She moved into her own room on Sunday night, and tonight is night 3 all by herself. Her bedtime is 7pm, and she usually puts herself to sleep. She's getting very good at doing that and i'm sure it will pay off in the long run.....
We started some cereal on Sunday, but she didn't think much of it at all. Looked like she was going to gag! She took it all though, but today she was a bit tired when i gave it to her and she cried and protested and looked as if she had something really horrid in her mouth! The faces she pulled, you'd think it was a cockroach instead of yummy kids rice cereal. Mom's can't win.

Sitting and raspberries and laughing
Summer finally seems to have arrived, albeit a month late! Morgan is wearing nothing more than a nappy and sometimes a shirt during the day. She is enjoying the freedom! Her aunty Jacqui bought a cute summer hat which she wears in the garden during the day, getting some fresh air.
All this sun and fresh air is making her rather sleepy. On Tuesday night she fell asleep straight after her bath, on my bed. She was out for the count...... totally exhausted! She doesn't wake in the night really any more. I stopped feeding her during night at about 4 months and it has taken a little while to break the habit, but seems to be paying off now.
Morgan continues to blow raspberries, drooling worse than ever and talking to all her friends and her hands. Its too cute really, and in the car I get wonderful renditions when she sings to her friends.
BUT in all this cuteness and sweet baby lies a fiesty strong willed monster. yes, it is true - Morgan has a mind of her own. She doesn't show it all the time, but i must tell you that it is becoming more evident when she doesn't get her own way! Well, what chance did she have with both Duane and myself being strong headed, poor girl.
